This page will contain various small tipps to extend Thunar.
Thunar doesn't allow to create links/shortcuts to files by default. However it's very easy to add the functionality. Simply create a custom action with the following content.
Name: Symlink Command: ln -s %f "Symlink to %n"
This custom action allows to open text files in vim from the right click menu.
Name: Edit with VIM Command: terminator -x vim %f
